Be a #rockytrailracer at the Shimano MTB Grand Prix and join fellow mountain bikers for a 'seriously fun' racing experience! This one of the longest-standing cross-country racing series in Australia and offers classic cross-country lap racing at its best - race solo or in teams for four or seven hours!

The Glenrock event will feature some of the most popular trail sections at Newcastle's favourite MTB Park with ocean views!

The organisers from Rocky Trail Entertainment deliver a set of events that is less of an elite- and winners-only-focused competition, but a positive and inclusive experience for all participants - on awesome trails at fun and exciting destinations that will make it worthwhile for your whole group of riding mates and for taking the family to! Race on Saturday, explore on Sunday! Every race is a stand-alone event and offers points for a series ranking.

About the Series:
In 2019 the six events will be spread across half a year with one race per month starting in April with one of the 'staple Rocky Trail venues': Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra kicks off the series with its abundance of trails ahead of the crowd pleaser that will be the amazing trail network in Wingello State Forest in the Southern Highlands in May. Glenrock State Conservation Reserve *near Newcastle will host the third race in June promising beautiful ocean views out on track before the series will head for one of the newest series venues in *Nowra State Forestat the end of July. A relatively flat course, it was one of the most-talked about in 2018 with trails that dictated an incredibly fast pace for an exciting finish in every category. The August race will be held at the Central Coast's Ourimbah State Forest and in a first since the inception of the series a Championship event will conclude the series at Awaba MTB Park in October.

About the racing experience:
The series aims to reward as many riders as possible with prizes at each event and across the series. At the centre of the race results is the General Classification (GC) determining the major winners of each race. There are also age-group and eBike category podiums. Racers receive a placing in both GC as well as one category. Prizes are handed out before the race start via the 'Rocky Trail Bazaar' - a selection of major prizes is raffled off and the remaining sponsored and local products are spread across the entire racing field. Included in each entry: all race photos from the crew at OuterImage.com.au - riders cand download their photos from an online portal after each event FOR FREE.
