The Great Cranleigh Kauri Run comprises of a series of off road trail runs or walks which take place on the stunningly beautiful Northern Coromandel Peninsula.
The 2016 event is the 12th Anniversary of this spectacular event.
The event comprises of the following distances:
The Kauri Classic - 32km - Waikawau Bay to Coromandel Township
The Kauri Half -Marathon - 23km - White Star Station, Colville to Coromandel Township
The Kauri Loop - 10km - Coromandel Township
200 years ago most of the Coromandel peninsula was covered in Kauri Forest. Today very few of these majestic giants of the forest remain.
A kauri tree will be planted along the trail for each person that participates in the event and our vision is to plant 10,000 trees over the next ten years and to create an avenue of Kauri all the way from Waikawau to Coromandel.
