CLUTHA CLASIC - 48km
The complete Clutha Classic begins at the Wanaka foreshore and follows the lake to the outlet (the head of the Clutha) and then follows the river past Albertown and Luggate to Maori Point road. Expect Grade 2 rapids, Grade 2 certificates compulsory. 3 major rapids are Pioneer, Devils Elbow and Shitters ditch.
Always a popular hit out before the Coast to Coast.
Clutha Classic will be transferred to the Matukituki river (same meeting place Wanaka Foreshore) if Clutha River is over 360 cumecs
