Well, that was FUN!
Enoggera Reservoir came alive this past Saturday as participants in the Max Adventure Race took to the trails and waterways pushing their physical limits and embracing the spirit of adventure. We want to congratulate every participant for taking on the challenge and joining us to #livelifetothemax.
The Brisbane weather behaved and teams were greeted to coolish conditions with the humidity at a bearable level as race day dawned. The buzz of excitement and anticipation was thick as teams collected their maps and went off in pairs to make a game plan for the day ahead. The courses were challenging for both Novice and Classic teams with long run and bike legs and plenty of short steep climbs to contend with. All teams did well navigating their way through the trail network with minimal missed checkpoints! There were an impressive amount of Novice teams who took on the Max Adventure Race challenge honing their abilities in communication, patience, resilience, and competitiveness. The triumphant delight on their faces upon crossing the finish line speaks volumes about their shared experience.
