Record number of Students step up for North Queensland Schools Challenge

More than 19 schools have already registered, with lots of excited kids ready to take on the challenge this July 2nd at Pallarenda, Townsville.

“We are so excited about the North Queensland Schools Challenge here in Townsville, after great success in Anglesea, Victoria and Albany, WA. It is great to see so many kids escaping screen time and challenging themselves by stepping out of their comfort zones in Adventurethon” says event organizer Joel Savage.

The North Queensland Schools Challenge is an opportunity for schools to encourage students from 8 – 16 years of age to participate in a family friendly event, either as an individual or as a team.

Stage 1 of the North Queensland Schools Challenge was held April 2nd at Adventurethon Magnetic Island with students from schools around Townsville and other Queensland Schools taking part.

Each student who participates earns a point for their school and prizes are awarded to the school with the highest number of points after Stage 2 – Adventurethon Townsville, July 2nd. The winning school receives prizes from Merida Bikes and Spirit Kayaks.

With registrations closing June 28 there is still time to get your junior registered into the North Queensland Schools Challenge.
