2017 Season Starts in South Africa

Online entries have opened for the 2017 Fedhealth XTERRA South Africa Season.

“We are extremely proud to host South Africa’s premier off-road triathlon, the Fedhealth XTERRA,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports.

“Taking place in the North West Province in January, and the Eastern and Western Cape in February, Fedhealth XTERRA focuses strongly on family enjoyment. Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages are in for a treat.  Together with Fedhealth’s unwavering support we look forward to hosting an event that can be likened to no other.”

According to Jeremy Yatt, Principal Officer of Fedhealth, South Africa is seeing an alarming increase in lifestyle diseases that can mostly be ascribed to the modern-day lifestyle of reduced activity and increased ‘conveniences’. “That’s why Fedhealth is so proud to be associated with these events.  We believe in individuals taking responsibility for their own health. The athletes that compete in these events are shining examples of what can be achieved when one is dedicated to a healthier lifestyle.”

In one of the coolest cross-promotions we’ve ever seen, Fedhealth members will be pleased to hear that they can enter free of charge by typing in their Fedhealth membership number when entering on line.

All three events in the series host kids, light, and full-distance XTERRA races.

January 20-22 – XTERRA Buffelspoort (North West Province)
Feb 10-12 – XTERRA Nelson Mandela Bay (Eastern Cape)
Feb 24-26 – XTERRA SA Championship (Grabouw, Western Cape)
