Shimano MTB GP, Rd 3 Coondoo

The SHIMANO MTB Grand Prix Series is in its tenth year in 2018 - get ready for new venues! Every race is a stand-alone event and you collect points for a series ranking. This is your classic cross-country lap event - race solo or in teams for four or seven hours! We will deliver a set of events that is less of an elite- and winners-only-focused competition, but a positive and inclusive experience for all participants - on awesome trails at fun and exciting destinations that will make it worthwhile for your whole group of riding mates and for taking the family to! Race on Saturday, explore on Sunday!

Round 1 takes/took place at Glenrock MTB Park on 3 February 2018 and Round 2 at Ourimbah, Wyong NSW, on 23 June.
This is Round 3 and will take you to Coondoo in Nowra on 28 July - this is a new venue for this series - close to Canberra and close to Sydney with fast and flowy trails! How about a getaway for the weekend? Racing on Saturday, beach & cafes on the Sunday?

Coming up:
Stromlo Forest Park, Canberra - 8 Sept classic / So much fun to find different trail combinations at this "classic" under the GP race tracks.
Wingello - 27 Oct newfinally* / We've had so many requests for these trails over the years - here you go! Done.

The racing experience:
We want to reward as many riders as possible with prizes at each event and across the series. At the centre of the race results will be that General Classification (GC) determining the major winners of a race. There will also be age-group category podiums. You will receive a placing in both GC as well as one category.

You can download all your race photos from the OuterImage.com.au online portal after each event FOR FREE.

We will hand out the prizes BEFORE the race start!
Rather than handing out the prizes we get from our fantastic sponsors to the winning riders only, we are introducing a streamlined GC product-reward winning, fixed podium structure and then to spread more spot prizes across the entire field.

So, come on, Be a #rockytrailracer at the #shimanomtbgp
